CSCA Call for New Secretary of MSIG

Due to low attendance at the business meeting, we are opening up the call for a new secretary of the Media Studies Interest Group (MSIG). This opportunity is a particularly wonderful one for graduate students and assistant professors who are looking to beef up their service to the discipline. Let me tell you, it is a fantastic CV hit! Besides this obvious perk, you will be part of an amazing interest group with wonderful scholars who study media, and you will progress through the ranks (serving as secretary, vice chair, and chair). This means you will serve as program planner/chair at the CSCA conference in 2025 in Cincinnati, OH. This is a three year commitment, so please take that into account. As secretary, your duty includes taking the business meeting notes at the conference in St. Louis in 2023 at the business meeting (along with learning about the MSIG process). 

We invite anyone who has interest to fill out the Google form (https://forms.gle/o7KyT8WpRU876XDH7). We ask that you fill out your contact information and a little bit about why you would like to join the MSIG. You do not need to have previous secretary or chairing experience to be part of the MSIG.
