CSCA Names Next Editor of Communication Studies

Dear fellow CSCA members:

I hope your semesters are wrapping up nicely and that you have some planned relaxation time in the near future. You’ve all earned it.

I’m writing today to share some exciting news with you – the name of the recently selected journal editor for Communication Studies. The executive team had many qualified applicants to consider, and in the end, the offer was extended to Patric Spence from the University of Central Florida. We are thankful that he graciously agreed to take on this important responsibility.

Patric, an associate professor in the UCF Nicholson School of Communication, is a life member of CSCA and a former planner for the Communication Theory Interest Group. His previous editorial experiences include special issues of Computers in Human Behavior and The Northwest Journal of Communication. He will begin accepting submissions on June 11, 2018, for Volume 70 of Communication Studies. Watch the CSCA webpage for more information.

The CSCA executive team congratulates Patric and also wishes to thank outgoing editor Kenneth Lachlan from the University of Connecticut for his outstanding service to CSCA.

Sincerely,

Amy Aldridge Sanford
CSCA President
