CSCA 2018 Convention - Registration Now Open!
Dear CSCA Colleagues,
Registration for the 2018 annual convention is now open! Click here to start your journey to all the learning, insight, community, and fun that will be #CSCA18.
A few notes before you register:
- If you register before March 5 you get the special "Early Bird" rate. The sooner we know how many supplies are needed and how much food to order, the more we can save as an organization. We are always happy to pass these savings along to members when we can. Remember, those who do not register online before the convention do have to pay an additional on-site fee with their registration as well as the regular conference rate
- If you have not renewed your membership for 2018, you can easily do that when you register for the convention. Remember that we have several new interest groups and caucuses, so take a close look at that section when renewing to make sure you are in the units that best represent you.
- We have also established several new awards over the past few years. These member-driven initiatives have helped to recognize the good work that people in the discipline are doing. I hope you will consider making a donation to one of our awards funds as you register for this year's convention.
- When you register you will also be asked to indicate which events you wish to attend. This year we have a lovely opening ceremony so that everyone can meet and greet in style; a Friday night party featuring the return of the immensely-popular CSCA drag show; and the Saturday night President's reception that will feature some Milwaukee favorites including local cheeses, beers, sodas, and snacks. All members are also invited to the annual business meeting lunch - but register early for that event. Space is limited!
If you have not followed us on Facebook, now would be the time to get that going, too. Beginning next week, we'll gear up all the convention excitement you can handle in that space. The leaders of CSCA have been hard at work planning and organizing this year's event -- it will no doubt be the latest in a long line of great gatherings. I can't wait to see those registrations rolling in!
