CSCA 2015 Convention - Community College IG - Call for panels (again)

I'm hoping this email will serve as a reminder what we discussed at the Community College Interest Group meeting in April and then imaginations will begin flowing with creative juices:

• Civic engagement/upcoming Presidential campaign
• Democracy Commitment Program
Grant Teaching Ideas
Incorporating Teaching and Research Together
Panel of Teaching at an Open Enrollment Institution
Importance of Instructional Vitality
• Instruction during Mid-Career and Veteran Career Teaching
• Converging Urban Students to meet their goals
• Performance of K-12, Community College and Four-Year University Students
• Defining Collegiality and sharing Governance
• Promotion and Tenure Process Validity
• Faculty Evaluation and Mentoring
• Future of Basic Public Speaking Course of 2025 (Tammie and David)
• Persuasion/Critical Thinking/Argumentation Issues in the Classroom
• Academic Book Circle.

A range of topics is welcome for consideration, but we encourage submissions that relate directly to the convention theme of CONVERGENCE. In terms of panels, preferences will be given to those with panelists representing multiple institutions rather than representing a single institution.

PANELS: Discussion panels and paper panels must be submitted using the respective forms located on the CSCA website: www.csca-net.org

COMPETITIVE PAPER SUBMISSIONS: Forms must be submitted along with the paper. This form is located on the CSCA website: www.csca-net.org

All technology requests must be made at the time of the submission. Submissions must be received by OCTOBER 3, 2014. Send submissions electronically using Microsoft Word to the following:
