CSCA 2015 Convention - Communication Ethics and Freedom of Expression Interest Group - Call for Submissions

Greetings!

In preparation for the 2015 CSCA Conference, I would like to encourage all members of the Communication Ethics &  Freedom of Expression Interest Group to submit papers and proposals in advance of our October 3, 2014 deadline!

All topics related to communication ethics and freedom of expression are welcome.  We particularly encourage members to develop compelling panels that focus upon the convention theme of “Convergence.”  Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:  communication ethics in a wide variety of arenas, such as politics, healthcare, the family, and the classroom; examinations of case law related to First Amendment issues; civility in public discourse, including on-line discourse; hate speech; case studies that analyze institutions’ struggles with ethical dilemmas; responsibility of expression in social media; and related teaching resources.  Given that many interests related to our division are shared with other divisions and affiliated organizations within CSCA, we encourage co-sponsorship of program panels when appropriate.  A complete version of our call for submissions can be found at:  https://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/callforpapers_commethics .

Please also let me know if you are interested in reviewing submissions for our group.  We are always looking for good reviewers!
