Hello Undergraduate Program Members:
I hope everyone is getting excited about converging in Madison in a few short months! I would like to encourage you to register for the conference (http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/convention_reg) soon. The deadline for the pre-registration rate is March 15th. The conference hotel is booked so be sure to check out other hotel options near the conference location (http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/hotelreg).
Please remember that we are trying hard to grow the Undergraduate Program division so attendance at the panels and interest group business meeting is of the utmost importance. If you are one who submitted a panel or plan to attend the Undergraduate Program's great panels, then I will assume you want to see this division expand and strengthen. Let's all meet this year at the business meeting and brainstorm as to how to grow this division; CSCA is made of many universities whose focus is on undergraduate excellence. We need the help of those who work in these type of universities and who respect and value the very important role of being an educator in this type of setting. We need the help of the upcoming members who will be the future of this division and if you are looking to be involved - this is the division to do it in! No young faculty member participation and involvement means no division!
Please check out the conference schedule - there are so many excellent panels, pre-conference events, short courses, seminars (new this year!), and fun social events planned. Be sure to check out the outstanding Undergraduate Program Panels...we had such great submissions this year and are hosting 7 panels! Also check out the "Outstanding Undergrad Program" panel graciously slotted by President Bryant.
