CSCA 2015 Convention Announcements and Reminders

Greetings, Everyone!

It’s almost time for us to Converge on Madison for the 2015 Central States Communication Association (CSCA) convention, April 15-19! This year’s CSCA will be our largest yet, as the convention has reached the 1,000 participants mark for the first time in association history!

This great news does mean it is important to make your lodging arrangements as soon as possible if you have not already done so. The conference hotel has filled up, but there are rooms available at some nearby hotels (book soon, though, as rooms are going quickly!).

Additionally, this year’s convention features some excellent special events that you won’t want to miss – such as receptions at the Overture Center for the Arts (featuring a performance of The Second City comedy troupe) and the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. There is a terrific line-up of pre-conferences, short courses and seminars. Sign up now to learn cutting-edge approaches to methodology and analysis, enhance instruction in your classroom and online, and explore the latest research findings, all while interacting with your academic heroes and leading scholars in the discipline. Make sure you register soon as participation in some events is limited! Check out the convention program at http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/conventionprogram.

Watch the Health Communication Interest Group’s Facebook page in the coming weeks as we will be spotlighting the outstanding panels and scholarship for this year’s convention too.

I look forward to seeing you in Madison very soon!
