CSCA 2015 Convention - Communication Ethics & Freedom of Expression

Greetings "Communication Ethics & Freedom of Expression" Friends!

As you are aware, our annual CSCA convention is coming up quickly (April 15-19 in Madison, WS).  This promises to be both an exciting and HUGE convention.  Over 1,000 participants will be in attendance - a record breaker for CSCA!

This record-breaking number of participants means that you must make your conference plans ASAP if you have not done so already.  This includes securing hotel rooms and registering for special conference activities.  Below are a few helpful reminders as you prepare for your visit to Madison:

Registration:  Pre-registration for the conference ends on Sun., March 15.  Pre-registration for a Regular Member is $90.00.  Please remember that registration rates increase after March 15!

Hotel:  The conference hotel (Madison Concourse Hotel) is sold out.  To search for space in nearby hotels, please go to http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/hotelreg.  I encourage you to move swiftly.  Given the size of this year's conference, even these hotels may fill quickly.

Short Courses & Special Events:  Space also is limited for short-courses and at special events (e.g., Awards & Business Meeting Luncheon, Second City performance, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art reception).  Please register for these opportunities as soon as possible before availability disappears!

Programming:   Please consult the most recent draft of the CSCA Convention program for the dates/times/locations of events (http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/conventionprogram).  Our Interest Group has four programs scheduled, beginning with our business meeting on Thurs., April 15 from 8:00-9:15 am.

Panelists & Respondents:  If you are participating in a panel that features a respondent, please make sure you provide that respondent with the most recent copy of your paper two weeks prior to the conference.

If you have any questions or concerns about this information, please feel free to contact me (bmessner@bsu.edu). I look forward to seeing you in Madison!
