CSCA 2015 Convention – Health Communication Interest Group Reminders

Greetings, Everyone -

In less than 75 days (!), we will be converging in Madison for the 2015 CSCA Convention. This year’s panels, pre-conference events, short courses, seminars and social events look terrific. Some of the events have limited capacity and will go fast, and I encourage you to register as soon as you can (Here’s the link to registration information: http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/convention_reg).

Moreover, make sure you are booking your hotel reservations soon – the conference rates are very reasonable, but you will need to call the hotel directly in order to get them (http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/pt/sp/hotelreg).

Finally, be sure to check out the Health Communication Interest Group’s outstanding line-up of panels this year – this is a testament to the great work you submitted this fall! (Here’s the link to the program: http://www.csca-net.org/aws/CSCA/asset_manager/get_file/92786?ver=7887). I’m especially excited about our spotlight panel, a roundtable discussion with local health and communication practitioners about how our scholarly work can extend beyond the academy. Additionally, your peers are sharing great ideas for teaching Health Communication concepts and curriculum development. There’s also fantastic research on health-related issues at the intersections of interpersonal and family communication, media, spirituality, mental health, policy, and other important applied contexts. You won’t want to miss it!

I hope to see you all in Madison!
